Terms of Service

1. What the service is

VendorScore.ai produces informational risk indicators about business counterparties from public records and publicly observable digital signals. A score is a summary of evidence found at the time of the check. It is a research aid for a decision you make, not the decision itself.

We are not a consumer reporting agency and our reports are not consumer reports. Scores must not be used to make decisions about credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws.

2. No guarantee, no warranty

We do not guarantee that any counterparty is honest, solvent, capable of performing, or lawful. A high score means we found no adverse signals in the records we read; it does not predict conduct. A low score means the public record is thin or contains adverse signals; it is not an accusation of fraud.

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Public records contain errors and omissions we cannot detect.

3. You remain the decision maker

You are solely responsible for whether you transact, wire funds, extend terms, or walk away. We owe you no fiduciary, advisory, escrow, or agency duty. Before sending funds, verify payment instructions with the counterparty by phone using a number you obtained independently.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or funds transferred to any third party, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation applies regardless of the score displayed.

5. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute reports, use the service to harass a business, or represent a score as our endorsement or certification of any party. Automated access requires a written API agreement.

6. Disputes and corrections for scored businesses

Any business that appears in our index may request its record. Submit corrections with supporting documentation and we will review and re-run the score within two business days. Substantiated corrections are free, and the record retains a visible change history so buyers can see what changed and when.

If we decline a correction we will state the record we relied on. Scored businesses may request removal of a public profile page; where we decline, we will explain the basis for retaining it.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be dated at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
